Technical Writer

Your impact will be applied on many levels: in the production of clear and concise content, executed in all forms of media (text, images, diagrams), and by supporting the improvement of our documentation's global architecture.On a daily basis, you will
  • Help drive the overall documentation strategy. 
  • Work with all Sonar products to produce, manage, and publish documentation.
  • Work closely with software developers, UX designers, and product managers to generate and improve content.
  • Engage with the user community and our services team to understand user needs.
  • Play a key role in the team to identify creative approaches with solutions that actively promote collaboration and teamwork.
The technical skills you will demonstrate
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience preferred with strong communication skills. 
  • Excellent proficiency in English with a fluid, laid-back writing style. Our standard is American English.
  • The ability to explain complex ideas in an easy-to-understand way with a passion for technology. 
  • A pragmatic approach to writing, with a focus on iterative improvement processes in a team-based environment.
  • Autonomous and able to make the best decision and course of action with limited information.
  • Ability to support context-switching.
  • Experience with agile practices and principles.
  • Some familiarity with the software development process is a definite plus. 
  • Experience with or a strong interest in coding and DevOps is highly desirable.
  • Experience with a headless CMS and Git is a plus.
