Wir suchen einen Purchasing Manager für unser Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich Team

Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich befindet sich im Herzen der Altstadt, im Hauptgeschäftszentrum, in der Nähe der Freizeitattraktionen der Stadt und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Ufer des Zürichsees entfernt. Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich verfügt über 80 Gästezimmer und Suiten sowie drei gastronomische Einrichtungen, darunter ein ganztägig geöffnetes Restaurant, ein Spezialitätenrestaurant und eine Lobby Lounge. Das Hotel ist mit seinen neu renovierten Veranstaltungseinrichtungen, einschließlich eines großen historischen Ballsaals, ideal für Meetings und Veranstaltungen geeignet.

The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the Old Town, in the main business center, close to the city's leisure attractions and just a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

YOUR TASKS

Als Purchasing Manager werden Sie verantwortlich für folgende Aufgaben sein: 

  • Die Vorbereitung und Analyse von Angeboten sowie die Bestimmung der geeigneten Lieferantenauswahl basierend auf den Unternehmensstandards und Erwartungen
  • Verhandlungen über kosteneffiziente Einkäufe für alle Materialien und Dienstleistungen, unter Einhaltung der MOHG-Richtlinien und Qualitätsspezifikationen
  • Überprüfung vorgeschlagener Produkte und Dienstleistungen, um die Einhaltung der Abteilungsspezifikationen oder -standards sicherzustellen
  • Analyse der Marktbedingungen im Hinblick auf aktuelle, vergangene und geplante Einkäufe
  • Überprüfung der Geschichte von Lieferanten und Auftragnehmern, um sicherzustellen, dass sie in der Lage sind, die erforderlichen Waren und Dienstleistungen zu liefern
  • Überprüfung der Anfragen und Spezifikationen, die von Abteilungsleitern empfohlen werden, um festzustellen, ob das beschriebene Qualitätsniveau für den vorgesehenen Verwendungszweck geeignet ist und ob die Spezifikationen kosteneffizient sind
  • Standardisierung von Artikeln mit allgemeiner Verwendung, um unnötige Variationen/Merkmale zu eliminieren und Kosten durch Grosseinkäufe zu senken
  • Analyse von Fachzeitschriften, Katalogen, Verzeichnissen und anderem technischen Material in Bezug auf Markt- und Preisbedingungen
  • Initiierung und Implementierung von Recherchen zu neuen Produkten und Technologien, um Beschaffungskosten zu senken und die Qualität der gekauften Waren und Dienstleistungen zu verbessern
  • Überprüfung des Lagerbestands und der Kaufmuster, um den Lagerwert zu maximieren
  • Erstellung der erforderlichen Einkaufsdokumente gemäss den Beschaffungsvorgaben
  • Überprüfung und Genehmigung von Bestellungen vor der Überprüfung durch den Finanzdirektor und den General Manager.
  • Festlegung von Qualitätskontroll- und Empfangsstandards

As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Preparing and analyzing proposals and selecting appropriate suppliers based on company standards and expectations
  • Negotiating cost-effective purchases for all materials and services, while adhering to MOHG guidelines and quality specifications
  • Reviewing proposed products and services to ensure compliance with departmental specifications or standards
  • Analyzing market conditions in relation to current, past, and anticipated purchases
  • Reviewing the history of suppliers and contractors to ensure they are capable of providing the required goods and services
  • Reviewing requests and specifications recommended by department heads to determine if the described quality level is appropriate for the intended use and whether the specifications are cost-effective
  • Standardizing items in common use to eliminate unnecessary variations/features and reduce costs through bulk purchasing
  • Analyzing trade journals, catalogs, directories, and other technical materials with respect to market and price conditions
  • Initiating and implementing research on new products and technologies to reduce procurement costs and improve the quality of purchased goods and services
  • Reviewing stock inventory levels and purchasing patterns to maximize inventory value
  • Preparing the necessary purchasing documents in accordance with procurement requirements
  • Reviewing and approving purchase orders before review by the Director of Finance and General Manager
  • Establishing quality control and receiving standards

YOUR PROFILE

Als Purchasing Manager erwarten wir von Ihnen:

  • Vorherige einschlägige Berufserfahrung in einer Luxus-Hotellerie-Umgebung
  • Kenntnisse des HACCP-Standards
  • Praxiswissen mit Einkaufssystemen; ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse von Microsoft Office
  • Starke Kommunikations- und Organisationsfähigkeiten
  • Gute Verhandlungs- und Analysefähigkeiten
  • Sehr gute Deutsch und Englischkenntnisse. Weitere Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

As Purchasing Manager, we expect from you:

  • Previous relevant work experience in a luxury hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing systems; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English. Additional language skills are an advantage.
