In the cardiovascular and metabolism area, we are developing cutting-edge therapies to treat metabolic diseases. /ppWe are currently looking for a diligent and highly motivated Research Associate with a strong industry background to join our Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (CVM) in-vivo pharmacology department. In this role, you will design and execute in-vivo experiments in rodents to evaluate the pharmacodynamics, efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic candidates for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. /ph3The opportunity /h3ulliEstablish, validate and use disease relevant rodent models (e.g., obesity and diabetes) and readouts to support various drug discovery projects /liliCollaboratively design and execute in-vivo studies, and interpret data from in-vivo experiments to assess the pharmacodynamics and therapeutic efficacy of novel compounds /liliSupport the development and characterization of novel in-vivo models for obesity-related comorbidities. /liliDiligently follow national and international animal welfare laws, and align with the company's commitment to the 3Rs (Replace, Reduce, Refine) /liliContinuously improve test systems, analyses, and data evaluation. Contribute to work process optimization including data capture, storage and assay automation. /liliWork closely with all members of the group, share duties, maintain a clean work environment and actively contribute to the positive work atmosphere within the group /li /ulh3Who You Are /h3ulliMSc/BSc in Life Sciences or completion of an apprenticeship for a research associate (“Lehrabschluss”) (no PhD) with at least 3 years of industry experience working with in-vivo models. /liliMouse work experience required; managing animal cohorts, injections via various routes, behavioral assays, mouse monitoring, tissue sampling and processing /liliLTK1 or equivalent is required /liliExperience in rodent models of obesity and functional readouts, such as glucose and insulin tolerance tests, body composition analysis, whole-body metabolism (Promethion), blood pressure /liliYou communicate effectively in English, both in writing and orally.
