Job Brief

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or a Lead Full Stack Developer with the ambition to grow into a CTO role to provide technical leadership as well as hands-on execution power to progress our development.. You will be interacting with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure that our company's technologies yield maximum value for our customers and is compatible with partners.

Entrepreneurial mindset and technical ingenuity are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and experienced in bringing projects to life. You have a maker mindset and are a passionate, hands-on software architect and lead developer. If you are also an excellent communicator and public speaker, we are looking forward to meeting you.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities:

Developing and executing the company's technology strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
Designing and implementing the company's platform architecture
Designing and implementing the data model with an emphasis on data analytics
Take on programming tasks and run code reviews (OutSystems and ReactJS)
Building up and leading a growing team of developers
Implementing and executing an agile software development pipeline based on Atlassian tools and GitLab
Managing backlog with priority agreed to by the Head of Product
Operating company's IT infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
Discovering, choosing and implementing (new) technologies that yield competitive advantages
Presenting technology concepts and strategy to partners and investors

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Architect with end-to-end accountability
Excellent technology skills in responsive web development and cloud technologies (ReactJS and low-code platform OutSystems knowhow is a plus)
Experienced in building secure solutions and complying with data protection laws
A maker mind-set: hands-on and eager to solve problems, embraces ambiguity and change
Proven ability to plan and execute IT projects in an agile way
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Excellent communication skills to lead a growing, distributed team
Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
Feels comfortable working in an international environment
Preferably Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Experience in developing and scaling marketable products is a huge plus
A network of fellow front-end and back-end developers is a plus
Languages: English is a must, German and Spanish are a plus.
