Global Digital Transformation Applications Service Delivery Manager

Hitachi Energy Transformers is in search of a Global Leader for Digital Transformation Applications Service Delivery who can revolutionize our business approach for marketing & sales, service, and overall customer experience at Hitachi Energy. This role is centered around our Digital Transformation Strategy and Portfolio management, while also overseeing the global applications service delivery team.

As the Digital Transformation Portfolio Manager, you will propel strategic digital initiatives, unlock growth avenues, and steer the BU's transformation journey. Your focus will be on leading impactful projects, bridging the gap between technology and business requirements, and ensuring measurable outcomes. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing IT solutions within the assigned practice area based on Business Functions needs. Additionally, you will take the lead on various projects/programs, acting as the primary liaison for IT and Business Units, overseeing project execution and communication with leadership.

As the Global Application Service Delivery Manager, you will be at the helm of a diverse team of Application Managers, specialists, and developers dedicated to fulfilling IT requirements arising from Business or Support-Function demands.

Your responsibilities

  • Foster a digital-first culture, spearhead strategic initiatives across the digital landscape
  • Develop and manage a high-impact digital portfolio for the respective BU/Function, prioritize projects, and monitor progress towards set objectives
  • Drive successful implementation, ensure timely delivery, and generate concrete business value
  • Simplify complex technology into clear business benefits, gain support from business stakeholders
  • Execute the defined strategy effectively
  • Provide guidance to Project Managers / Program Managers in achieving their goals
  • Drive strategic organizational growth
  • Ensure proper organization, staffing, and skillset within the project/program teams
  • Lead multiple international teams catering to a specific BU's service needs
  • Accountable for the strategy and operations of the department, HR management, and associated budgets
  • Lead service and project teams efficiently
  • Motivate and develop team members in line with HR policies for mutual growth
  • Implement agile development methodologies
  • Establish a reliable end-to-end service delivery model for globally used applications following ITIL4 standards
  • Guide and support IT implementation projects
  • Set up governance frameworks and conduct service/project reviews as per global IT standards
  • Manage the financial aspects of all sub-teams
  • Ensure proper organization, staffing, and direction with HR support, driving strategic organizational development

Your background

  • Over 10 years of extensive experience in IT technology and Applications Development Management
  • 5+ years of experience within large multinational companies
  • More than a decade of experience in managing third-party providers on a global scale
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology is preferred
