For our Private Clients / External Asset Management (EAM) division covering EAM International, we are looking for a highly motivated and engaged Relationship Manager.

What would your role be?

  • Manage and further develop a book of External Asset Managers covering the markets USA (majority) and Switzerland ) and increase the growth potential of External Asset Managers with their private clients, ensuring a sales culture with effective prospecting, sales, and acquisition process.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects by providing recommendations that encompass multiple products and services.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of client's needs, preferences and overall wealth and be responsive to the changes in the business environment or clients' needs.
  • Effectively manage a book of clients and act as a relationship lead, accountable for a high level overall client experience.
  • Build relationships with internal and external sales referral partners and identify new business development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines with regard to compliance, ICS, and transactions.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 10 years of experience in the financial services industry covering external asset managers in an international cross-border context. Alongside the US an added value are markets such as Latin Amercia, South Africa, UK, Germany and Dubai (DIFC).
  • MBA, University degree or completed banking education with specialist further training, ideally Series 7 license.
  • A client-focused individual with exceptional interpersonal and proven acquisition skills.
  • A team player who can work under pressure and is committed and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards with respect to our risk and control culture in order to meet Vontobel's policies/obligations.
  • Highly motivated and with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Fluency in English and German and effective communication skills.
