About the position:
The candidate in this position will be responsible for Corporate Accounts management through the development of sound business relationships. This is the first level account manager assignment and generally involves collecting voice of the customer and working with the Cat teams to develop the right aftermarket solutions to grow the business.

Account Manager will cover customers in EAME region (mostly Europe/French based) working directly with a total of 12 corporate accounts in hand with dealers and counterparts from other divisions.

What You Will Do:

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Begin to develop effective internal partner relationships and relationships with major customers so that sales objectives can be achieved.
  • Establish high-level relationships with business decision makers and identify business needs and problems.
  • Work with senior management to develop and implement market strategies for key industries and customers as well as securing commitment of Caterpillar and Dealer resources to assure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Consult with various departments within Caterpillar regarding the direction and strategies that key industry leaders will be adopting in the future.
  • Consult with dealers and districts on the subject of sales and service support of product to "corporate account" customers.
  • Travel in the field to monitor and resolve issues regarding customer satisfaction and future product needs.

Key Skills for your successful assignment:

  • Relationship Management/Collaboration: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate complex data sets, identify trends and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking is essential, as well as the capacity to make data-driven decisions that support business objectives.
  • Influencing: Ability to effectively persuade and motivate others, build consensus, and drive alignment towards common goals.
  • Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, requirements, and processes in a manner appropriate for the intended audience. This skill is also related with fluent knowledge of English and French language.

At this level, incumbent ensures that account decision makers have been fully exposed to the features/ benefits available from Caterpillar products, dealer, and marketing before they finalize purchasing decisions. Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations.

Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences. Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit.

Top candidates will also have:

  • College degree or equivalent experience with 8-10 years of specific industry experience.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and distribution methods.
  • Previous field/customer facing experience and/or previous supervisory experience and/or was a fully contributing member on significant projects and/or teams.
  • Previous experience in Aftermarket

Additional Information:

This position makes regular visits to job locations, foreign and domestic, to provide advice and counsel to potential customers – with up to 50% of required business travel time.

A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.​
