Business Analyst for Data Migration

Project description

Information and Document Systems is a global technology change and delivery organization comprising nearly 200 individuals located mostly in Switzerland, Poland and Singapore. Providing global capturing and document processing, archiving and retrieval solutions to all business divisions focusing on supporting Legal, Regulatory and Operational functions. At the moment developing strategic greenfield project to build large-scale digital archive for documents and records, that will gradually replace all existing archiving solutions in the bank, and to build an operational document store, that should become a single point of truth for document workflows. The whole system must scale linearly, be fault-tolerant, and handle petabytes of data.

Technologies used:
- 100% Scala using Functional Programming (FP),
- Event Driven Architecture with Kafka as event store and Kafka Streams for event streaming,
- Reactive streams for streaming data over HTTP: Akka HTTP/Streams,
- Non-blocking concurrency: Akka, Monix,
- FP abstractions: Cats,
- Developed by several teams using Kanban

Responsibilities

  • You will contribute to the design and documentation of business requirements, covering regulatory and legal archiving applications in addition to operational functionality to deliver end to end solutions to our stakeholders. The creation of the solution documentation strengthening of the systematic traceability from business request to application function is a vital part of the work. Teamwork and cross-discipline collaboration is essential.

SKILLS

Must have

  • Have 5+years' experience in business\system analysis, preferably in banking industry
    - Strong understanding of IT Technologies
    - Excellent communication skills
    - Ability to form strong relationships with IT and Business
    - Have strong analytical skills
    - Object oriented design
    - Open minded and self-motivated
    - High level of competence in verbal and written English
    - Have very good understanding of business as well as technical language
    - Know Scrum framework and is ready to work that way

Nice to have

Experience in the Archiving Domain
