Software Engineer DSP



As a signal processing embedded software engineer, you will be developing audio signal processing algorithms for hearing device software applications. You will contribute across all product development steps, from development of the concept and prototypes to finished products. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers, hearing performance- and audiological engineers, embedded software developers and architects to realize innovative hearing solutions algorithms. You will be strongly contributing to the adoption of cutting-edge technology solutions and refinement of the development tool chain. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge, learn from others and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment. Your tasks
  • Develop and model audio signal processing algorithms using model-based design methodology
  • Implement and optimise DSP algorithms on an ultra low-power embedded system (hearing aid)
  • Contribute on every stage of product development from a concept to prototype to final implementation, including testing and verification
  • Contribute to the design of system architecture, modules and interfaces
  • Support extension and maintenance of software development platform and tools
  • Contribute to continuous delivery and integration of medical software
Your profile
  • MSc/PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Solid knowledge in digital audio signal processing theory
  • At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development, and interest in creating optimized and clean code
  • Knowledge of model-based design and object-oriented software design concepts
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, git and more
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
