In short

We're looking for a creatively minded, yet process driven apparel graphic designer that wants to build and contribute to a distinctive creative product vision. In this role you will get to work with On's graphic and product design team to bring On's unique design direction to life to our consumers around the world. Have artistic as well as strategic impact on design processes to make sure we tell a holistic and cohesive story across product categories, communities and seasons. You will be exposed to the many different functions involved in the product creation process; allowing you to hone your skills, and take onboard creative and technical learnings from exceptionally skilled team members around you.

Your mission

– Take creative direction from our Head of Apparel Design & Design Direction and apply to relevant projects keeping in mind On's overall creative vision

– Execute Apparel Graphic Design projects briefed in from Senior Director of Apparel Design and Design Leads under the guidance of the Senior C&M Graphic Designer

– Work closely with the wider Apparel Graphic Design team to take concepts and deliver them across all touch points, particularly the Apparel Design team

– Become confident in creating and applying tech pack graphics in collaboration with the Apparel Development team

– Help improve processes in the Apparel Graphics department

– Contribute to our graphics portfolio and gain an understanding of the intricacies between collections, styles and product categories

– Bring an awareness of trends in the graphics design world whilst understanding commercial needs helping to build On's Product Design Identity

– Provide support to the team for presentation preparation

Your story

– Academic degree in graphic design

– Approximately 2 years experience in a product graphic design role working on fashion and/or sportswear products

– Excellent Graphic design skills, Typography, AOP skills and immaculate attention to detail.

– Experience working with creative softwares, such as Adobe Creative suites, photoshop and Illustrator (Programs like After Effects etc would be a plus)

– Strong communication skills; able to communicate solutions clearly to peers and to present ideas to colleagues outside of the creative design studio

– Proactive attitude, an drive to share ideas and have a mentoring, nurturing mindset

– An open mind for new challenges and learnings. You are hungry to learn and like to bring new ideas to the table

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

– Good understanding of Contemporary Fashion and aesthetics

We create excellence in performance apparel, pushing boundaries to achieve the perfect fit, materialisation and design in every piece of the collection. We work collaboratively with our suppliers, pushing for product excellence. We place huge emphasis on testing, making sure each style is worn by our lovely athletes before launching them to the market. Because if the quality's verified by the pros, we know it's fit for purpose.

You will be part of the highly Apparel Design Direction Team based in Zurich which is On's internal trend forecasting agency; defining seasonal topics and palettes for all products to create exciting head-to-toe looks from a colour/material side.
