Here in the IT department of Zürcher Kantonalbank, we develop the technology of tomorrow with around 1,000 colleagues in the heart of Zurich. We are very proud of our "IT made in Chreis 5".
Data engineering is responsible for the creation, archiving, processing and provision of data. We create data pipelines and make our data readable and analyzable. Together we work every day on our mission "Zäme meh us Data usehole" and are responsible for the efficient and scalable use of our data. As a servant leader, you support your team and enable them to complete their tasks in a self-organized manner, in accordance with the principles and goals of the Information Value Stream.


Your tasks – design more
  • Lead, coach, accompany and develop your 10 data engineers professionally and personally
  • Technical and methodical implementation of high-quality data pipelines, storage and products in collaboration with your team
  • Responsible for standards and methodology in data engineering of the Values ​​Stream Information Management
  • Close collaboration and exchange with architecture, data scientists, platform engineers, product managers/owners and scrum masters to contribute to a sustainable data culture
  • Shaping our bank's data ecosystem and enabling the reuse of cross-enterprise data products and assets
  • Monitoring market trends regarding data engineering

Your profile – bring more
  • Completed studies in the field of business/computer science (Uni/ETH/FH/HF) or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in the areas of data platforms, business intelligence, data management tools as well as in personnel management and with the SAFe framework
  • Experience in the implementation of standards, methods and good/best practices in the field of data engineering
  • Thanks to your communication skills, you find it easy to exchange ideas across different stakeholder levels
  • Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
  • You score points with your strong conceptual, implementation skills as well as your social skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (at least C1)
