Healthcare Sector Equity Analyst

Your role
Are you passionate about financial markets? Are you a great presenter, comfortable conveying complex content to our diverse and discerning audiences? Does collaborating effectively across teams and around the globe come naturally to you?

We are looking for someone like you to:

• Conduct performance-oriented equity analysis of the global healthcare sector, with a strong focus on the European names
• generate and publish performing thematic investment ideas, incl. proposal thereof to the research committees
• act as primary contact person for the healthcare sector, as well as active presentation of research results to UBS clients and internal partners
• assume coverage of the European chemical sector in due course
• closely collaborate with other members of the global investment office to help generating the UBS House View
• advise our investment management colleagues to get our views on healthcare being implemented in our clients' portfolios
• actively contribute to the global and regional equity sector strategy

Your team
You will be joining our Equity Team in Zurich. In this role you will have contact with our financial analysts around the globe and the opportunity to regularly interact with clients our client advisors.

Your expertise
• 5+ years of experience as an equity analyst / sector specialist in healthcare or a strong background in medicine / healthcare with a thorough understanding of economics and finance
• ability to look beyond the assigned healthcare sector in order to influence the UBS house view and equity strategy
• university degree in economics or similar and/or medicine / healthcare with a specialization in finance; CFA, CEFA, or AZEK are a plus
• profound knowledge of financial markets and actors within those markets
• fluency in German would be a considerable advantage
• strong analytical and conceptual skills
• skilled user of MS Office and the systems of financial data providers (mainly Factset, Bloomberg, Reuters)
• highly motivated, self-disciplined and able to cope with tight deadlines
