GL Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle VAT and direct tax filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with other accounting teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with a DECF or similar certification. Proficiency in English and French is a must, along with a strong knowledge of VAT and direct taxes. Previous work in a public accounting firm would be advantageous, and excellent analytical and problems-solving abilities are crucial.
