Senior Business Functional Analyst

Description
Analysis and design of technological solutions based on business requirements and processes, as well as on knowledge of existing and future platforms. Join the Avaloq Europe Platform Services team to collaborate with business stakeholders in defining functional requirements and working with development teams for technical implementation.
You bring a strong drive and capability to comprehend business processes, along with deep knowledge of Avaloq core banking system. Your role involves transforming this expertise into functional solutions that add value and enhance business operations.
You will be responsible for:
- Defining detailed business requirements with stakeholders
- Reviewing solution proposals and specifications from vendors
- Guiding implementation teams to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Collaborating with Business and Solution Architecture teams for architectural alignment
- Executing hands-on testing and providing support to expert users
- Ensuring all business requirements are met in implemented solutions
- Prioritizing simplicity in design and solutions
- Acting as a go-to expert for stakeholders, offering advice and training
- Cooperating with the Center of Competence to drive test automation and solution design
Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
You will ensure proposed solutions align with business needs, working closely with both business and technical teams.
People Management:
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage vendor relationships, and interact with external parties.
Experience:
5 to 8 years of experience in functional analysis within Private Banking or Wealth Management.
Education/Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Computing, or related field. Master's degree preferred
- Familiarity with Avaloq Core Platform; Avaloq certification is advantageous
- Project management experience and understanding of the application development life cycle
- Leadership and communication abilities
- Proven skills in risk identification, conflict resolution, and task planning
- Self-motivated with flexibility to work independently and in global teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a complex environment
- Team player mindset with a focus on collaboration and information sharing
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and HP ALM is beneficial
- English proficiency is required
