Right now, we are looking for a Senior People Partner to join us.
At Lumiphase, our aim is to develop the world's quickest and most energy-efficient communication chips, and we believe our team is essential to achieving this goal. With our foundation at IBM Research and our establishment in 2020, we have grown rapidly to a team of 50. We are excited to welcome someone who shares our passion for building an exceptional team and nurturing a culture of innovation.
This position is available immediately at our Stäfa, ZH office. We have a predominantly office-based team with flexibility. Most team members are in the office 4 to 5 days a week, and we believe that being in the office 3 to 4 days a week can greatly contribute to optimal performance.
ResponsibilitiesAs our strategic partner reporting to the CEO and Leadership team, focusing on all people-related matters, your main priorities will include:
- Collaborating with business leaders to support the team in achieving business objectives.
- Developing people strategies aligned with our business objectives.
- Creating, revising, and implementing HR policies and programs.
- Identifying and monitoring key HR metrics to prioritize relevant initiatives.
- Coordinating internal and external activities related to employee lifecycle management, payroll, and employee documentation – aiming for increased automation where possible.
- Assisting managers in the recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Enhancing employee engagement through customized performance management, leadership development, and career growth initiatives.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a People Partner (or in an HR role), preferably in collaboration with the R&D department within high-growth tech environments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally as a strategic and operational partner to impact the business and address key people-related matters to drive business goals.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to build trusted relationships and understand the diverse needs of different individuals within the organization.
- Familiarity with Swiss labor laws and regulations, with the capability to oversee compliance or provide guidance on necessary actions.
- Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of German is advantageous.
- Desire for process improvement and efficiency through the utilization of tools for personal and team productivity.

Our hiring process includes three stages:
- A brief phone interview with our People & Culture team to discuss your career motivations and familiarize you with our company and the role.
- An in-depth phone interview lasting 1-1.5 hours with key team members to delve into specific skills requirements.
- An on-site visit for interviews and interactions with various team members, providing insights into our company culture and team dynamics.
Decisions are made by both parties following the process. While we target completion within a month, we remain flexible to ensure a comprehensive assessment of skills and culture fit for informed decision-making.
