Project Manager Group Strategy & Business Development
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Group Strategy & Business Development at our Headquarters in Pfäffikon SZ.


As a core member of the Group Strategy team, you will provide fundamental contribution to inorganic and organic Corporate Strategy projects and respective key initiatives of the Executive Chairman.

You will drive key opportunities in growth areas that shape Oerlikon's portfolio of the future and act as a sparring partner for the Division strategies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Closely work with the Executive Chairman and Oerlikon Divisions to drive the strategy as well as business and organizational development forward
  • Support strategy projects and respective work streams for the Oerlikon Group and for specific group and business projects; support and drive successful execution by enabling the teams
  • Facilitate Executive
- and team workshops to ensure results and engagement

  • Monitor regional developments and new opportunities with local experts; together with own analysis, provide market and competitor insights
  • Support to create business plans and challenge existing business plans; think and act as entrepreneur
  • Support to develop compelling business models that deliver superior value to customers and Oerlikon and design strong operating models
  • Support to explore strategic partnership with suppliers, OEMs, customers and research institutes and universities
  • Support to coordinate experts and lead technological screening to perform deeper technology assessments
  • Support M&A projects with strategic analysis, commercial due diligences, and PMI preparation work
Your Profile

  • University degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business with solid technical understanding (technical and industry background with a sound understanding of technical topics and profound interest in high tech industry topics)
  • 58 years work experience in hightech B2B industries, ideally with strong relation to surface, materials, polymer processing, and with strong service share
  • International work experience in a top tier management consulting company or adequate business development and strategy experience in industry is a plus
  • You successfully managed large and complex international strategic and/or business development projects
  • Outstanding skills and a proven track record in strategic, financial and quantitative analysis are essential
  • Strong empathy skills, understands group dynamics and individual needs and knows how to motivate and engage people
  • A handson, positive, pragmatic, flexible and resultsdriven attitude with a high level of energy as well as the ability to meet multiple and tight timelines under pressure
  • Willingness to travel, approx. 20%
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus
