Head of Resource Planning

The Resource Planning team is responsible for developing robust long and short term resource plans across the organization, ensuring compliance in component selection for the design of the trial, and, in collaboration with the functional leads across the organization, executing against the resource plans.

The Head of Resource Planning is responsible for managing the following functions:
Demand Planning, Functional Scheduling, Materials Compliance, and Distributed Order Management.

The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process is executed on a monthly cadence and drives business decisions necessary to ensure preparedness for changes in supply or demand.

This individual will ensure strong collaboration with Supply Chain and Procurement, Project Management, Lab, and Operations for delivery against the resource plans for CLS and establish a functional scheduling team to help address near-term changes in the plan.

The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring the design of collection supplies kits, based on intended use of the trial, comply with the regulations of destination countries.

They will own the process for driving compliance of the current portfolio of trials and establish a cadence for review to ensure compliance as regulations change over time.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead the Resource Planning function across CLS and ensures key departmental objectives are completed on time.
  • Be accountable for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Process within CLS and ensure it drives key business decisions to prepare the organization for changes in demand or supply across the value chain.
  • Establish and manage a functional scheduling team to work with department leaders across CLS to adjust to nearterm changes in supply and demand.
  • Identify and share leveraging opportunities or best practices across business units within the same division.
  • Provides direction and oversight to the Distributed Order Management team and ensures proper investment to maintain adequate system support and enhancements for kit production.
  • Develop and maintain a process, supported by technology, to ensure collection supply kits are compliant with regulations of destination countries.
  • Responsible for day to day management of staff to include: setting objectives, sharing timely feedback and following annual performance management cycle, leading team meetings, communicating business updates, and completing other administrative tasks.

Profile requirements:

  • Level of education preferred (if required or experience level which may be substituted for level of education).
  • Strong analytical skills, and preferably, experience building workload models
  • Experience working in or with Supply Chain
  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent leadership experience
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Dynamic attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to take up challenges
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to use several software packages i.e. Word, Excel, Access
