Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician biotechnology:

Your mission:


The Laboratory is driven by the passion of expanding nature's repertoire by designing novel functional proteins to be used for practical purposes such as therapeutics, vaccines, biosensors and others
.


We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic laboratory technician with at least 2 years of practical experience, ideally full-time employment (100%)

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • The lab technician will be involved in the lab management and in the different research projects of the lab, providing support and expertise to the scientists in different areas:
  • Tissue culture
  • Molecular biology
  • Protein expression in bacterial and mammalian systems, purification and biophysical characterization
  • Animal experimentation, sample processing and characterization (ELISA, ELISPOT, FACS, etc.)

Your profile:

  • An apprenticeship certificate in biology (Federal Certificate of Capacity or equivalent)
or BSc in related fields, with at least 3 years of practical experience

  • Experience with FPLC / AKTA purification platforms
  • Experience with HPLC systems
  • Knowledge in protein production and biophysical characterization (CD, SPR, ELISA, BLI, SEC-MALS, )
  • Experience with animal experiment (module 1 would be a plus)
  • Experience in laboratory management, database management for plasmid and reagents
  • Good communication skills in English
