TotalEnergies has developed a strong expertise in oil and biofuels, natural gas and electricity trading. Trading entities are based in Geneva, Paris, Houston and Singapore.

TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping is a trading company in charge of all physical trading and shipping of crude oil and refined products on behalf of the TotalEnergies Company.

It has been an active participant all over the supply chain as well as on the derivatives paper market in order to manage the market risk for a long time.

What you will do
The Trading business is fast-moving, dynamic and complex environment: it is necessary to understand the business and react quickly.
As an intern, you will report to the Management Control Coordinator within the Trading & Shipping financial team.

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

  • You will follow the sales transactions of the cargoes of Crude oil produced by the Company affiliates worldwide, in close relation with the Front Trading team and the financial teams of the affiliates (follow-up and analysis of the financial performance).
  • You will control the crude oil transactions completed by the Trading team on a monthly and a quarterly basis (checking of the quantities and prices, of the consistency with the accounting figures).
  • You will produce statistics of volumes of crude oil and petroleum products purchased and sold by the T&S companies.
  • You will produce the working capital requirement forecast for the whole perimeter of Trading & Shipping companies.
  • You will improve, develop and upgrade the financial tools used to follow the activity and carry out the different analysis.
Your environment

You will be part of a dynamic team of 3 persons and will work closely with the operational teams of Trading & Shipping based in Geneva, Houston and Singapour: Front and Middle Office, Operations, Credit & Trade Finance, Accountants, Treasurers and Financial Controllers.
