High Jewelry Watches Product Development Manager

We are seeking a passionate Product Development Manager with a solid background in high-end watches and jewelry to lead the creation of new designs. The selected candidate will oversee the entire product development process from conception to market launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and monitor product development projects to ensure compliance with initial requirements.
  • Work closely with design teams to translate creative visions into manufacturable products.
  • Collaborate with marketing departments to align development goals with commercial strategies.
  • Manage communication among all involved parties (suppliers, manufacturers, designers, marketers).
  • Ensure project aspects such as quality, cost, and deadlines are met.
  • Swiftly identify any risks or deviations from the initial plan and propose appropriate corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop a team of two Development Project Managers and a Gemologist.
Requirements

Hold a higher education degree in a relevant field like industrial management, mechanical engineering, or equivalent, with a strong specialization in jewelry. Proficiency in French is mandatory, while fluency in English or Italian is desired.

Demonstrate extensive experience in project management within a High Jewelry House, along with knowledge of watchmaking as a valuable asset. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques in high jewelry and luxury jewelry creation is essential, with experience in workshop management considered a plus.

Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and prioritization abilities are crucial. Natural leadership qualities to guide a multidisciplinary team towards common goals are necessary. Proficiency in problem-solving and synthesizing complex information is key. Being dynamic, meticulous, and proactive is essential, as well as a technical curiosity.
