Account Manager for Molecular Diagnostics

Based in the field in Switzerland

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Account Manager will oversee and expand molecular operations for designated clients within the country. This position entails providing expert guidance and consultation to customers, focusing on maintaining and growing existing accounts while exploring new opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect new business ventures
  • Negotiate contract renewals and tender agreements, ensuring competitive pricing
  • Create compelling value propositions and business strategies
  • Engage with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in molecular laboratories and medical facilities
  • Address customer inquiries and collaborate with the Service department on technical matters
  • Act as a consultant to clients on optimizing lab productivity and design
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system and report on market activities
  • Provide timely responses and support to customer inquiries

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Background in in-vitro diagnostics laboratory operations
  • Previous sales experience preferred, with a strong foundation in molecular diagnostics
  • Essential expertise in molecular laboratory practices
  • Demonstrated skill in nurturing and expanding client relationships
  • Ability to travel extensively, averaging 70% of working time
  • Proficiency in German and English, additional fluency in French is advantageous
