With state-of-the-art semiconductor laser design and production capabilities, processes and equipment the company manufacturers high-power laser components enabling fiber and direct diode laser systems for material processing, medical, consumer and printing applications.

In addition, COHERENT (II-VI Laser Enterprise GmbH, Zurich) manufactures pump lasers for optical amplifiers for both terrestrial and submarine applications and vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELS) for optical navigation, optical interconnects and optical sensing applications.

Your practical mind, hands-on attitude and attention to detail makes of you the ideal candidate.

Your responsibility

  • Preventive maintenance and repair of machines (mechanical and electrical systems like microscope light bulbs, sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of new machines
  • Maintain workspaces
  • Contact with machines suppliers
  • Continuous improvement of the production (quality and throughput) by monitoring, controlling, optimizing
Your profile
  • Proven experience as maintenance technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and cleanroom devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma White Belt is a plus
