Gavi's Governance Team is looking for a full-time intern to assist the Governance team with the organisation and delivery of Gavi Board and Committee meetings.

The intern will work closely with the Director, Governance, and other team members, focusing on the delivery of the Gavi Board and Committee workplan.

They will also liaise with teams across Gavi in the preparation of Board and Committee discussion items.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide support for daytoday governance management of Gavi Board committees;
  • Preparation of materials and minute writing for meetings of governance bodies;
  • Draft official correspondence and other communications to Board and committee members and support their engagement in governance meetings;
  • Liaise with colleagues in Gavi on behalf of the Governance Team;
  • Support the Governance Team in delivering strategic governance projects;
  • Provide logístical support to the team for meetings of governance bodies;
  • Other support as needed.

  • Good organisational skills with ability to multitask, prioritise and followup;
  • An strategic mindset and commitment to support decisionmaking through analysis, problemsolving and collaboration;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to write clear, concise minutes;
  • Resilience to work in a highpressure environment with tight timelines, maintaining a sense of proportion and of humour.
Languages

  • Mothertongue English;
  • Knowledge of French an advantage.
Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area.

Interns are expected to be interning on a full-time basis.
