Manufacturing Scientist

The Manufacturing Scientist will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Perform and document purification and filtration experiments in the GMS laboratory.
  • Assist in tech transfer, manufacturing inquiries, and process enhancement projects.
  • Analyze lab samples and data.
  • Produce reports to outline study results.
  • Share study findings with management and project teams.
  • Responsibilities may change based on experience level.



GMS Lab Operations:

  • Handle samples and data effectively.
  • Manage reagents and consumables.
  • Prepare solutions and buffers.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.



Cross-Functional Team Support:

  • Collaborate with varied teams on manufacturing scale initiatives.
  • Create investigation and validation protocols and reports.
  • Establish and oversee sample plans as needed.
  • Support TT, process inquiries, CAPA, or change management implementations.

To be eligible for this position, candidates should have:

  • Apprenticeship, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge in lab-scale purification and filtration systems.
  • Technical expertise in biomanufacturing and process development.
  • Proficiency in data workflows and analytics is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration within a team setting.
