Your mission:


The aim of the EPFL Blue Brain Project (BBP), a Swiss brain research initiative founded and directed by Professor Henry Markram, is to establish simulation neuroscience as a complementary approach alongside experimental, theoretical and clinical neuroscience to understanding the brain, by building the world's first biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain.

Post-doctoral Researcher in Computational Modelling of the Mouse Hippocampus W/M.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Data curation. Data from experimental lab (e.g., morphological reconstructions and electrophysiological recordings), literature and public resources
  • Analysis of experimental data (e.g., morphometrics, electrophysiological features)
  • Build, validate, and refine a largescale model of the mouse hippocampus
  • Exploit the model to answer outstanding questions in the field

Your profile:

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, or related field
  • Experience in the field of Neuroinformatics, data analysis and statistics
  • Experience in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, and largescale network modelling
  • Experience in scientific computing software (python, Linux)
  • Experience in version control software, shell scripting and using highperformance computing resources
  • Interest in participating in a collaborative big science project
  • Strong team player and fluent English in speech and writing
