Plant Manager Small and Mid-Scale

As the manager of a manufacturing unit, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, prioritizing safety, quality, and timely delivery. Leading a team that includes production leaders, supervisors, and specialists, you will be responsible for the performance and outcomes of your area, with a focus on cost control. Additionally, you will play a vital role as a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading a team of production managers, supervisors, and specialists
- Facilitating effective communication between upper management and your team through regular meetings and addressing production issues promptly
- Taking charge of general production management aspects such as housekeeping, staff behavior, training, and process control as a part of the Manufacturing Leadership Team
- Being the go-to person for production planning, technical evaluations, and addressing feasibility questions from the BU team members
- Ensuring consistent performance monitoring through various reporting tools and acting as the deputy of the manufacturing head when needed
- Maintaining the technical integrity of equipment by meeting safety, environmental, and compliance standards
- Conducting and supporting risk analyses for productions and equipment changes
Key requirements:
- Hold an academic degree (minimum Bachelor) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
- Demonstrate substantial experience in chemical or biotechnical manufacturing, preferably in leadership roles
- Possess broad expertise in chemical or biotechnology along with deep knowledge of GMP principles
- Proficiency in English and German languages is a must
- Understanding of business and financial processes
