Technical Project Manager

The Business Unit Parts and Field Service operates globally with standardized processes and tools to deliver top-notch services. Within our diverse team, we value and respect different perspectives and prioritize safety, environment, and well-being.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead technology development projects within the Future Research & Development Projects team.

The primary location for this role is Frauenfeld (Switzerland) with consideration for Trieste (Italy). Additionally, remote work is also an option.

Your role and responsibilities include:Analyze, plan, and develop requirements for scheduled projects.Manage projects with a top-down approach to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.Create comprehensive project plans aligning requirements with company goals.Monitor project progress and provide detailed reports on milestones and deliverables.Proactively communicate with team members, identify issues, and implement solutions.Define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for project staff.Hold regular team meetings to track progress and address project challenges.Research technology options, conduct cost/benefit analysis for company purchases.

Requirements for the position:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, automotive, or energy industry.
  • Proficiency in Project Management processes and strategies.
  • English language skills required, additional proficiency in Italian or German is a bonus.

As an ideal candidate, you might also have:

  • Project Management certification.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and experience setting guidelines.
  • Personal accountability in decision-making and team supervision.
  • Experience in collaborative environments and teamwork promotion.
  • Ability to foresee challenges and proactively address obstacles.
  • Knowledge of 2-Stroke marine engines.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel.
