Patient Access Manager

As a member of the Swiss Patient Access team, you play a key role to ensure sustainable access for patients to innovative treatments, focusing on this pivotal branch of the healthcare system.
You identify and overcome access hurdles in Switzerland to create value for patients, the Healthcare System and Novartis, working in close collaboration with colleagues from other departments and building strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies to achieve fast, broad, and sustainable access to the Novartis portfolio in alignment with the local leadership and regional/global teams
- Provide early input into local and global product development, P&R strategies, financial planning, and business decisions
- Identify and address relevant data gaps in collaboration with local and regional/global Medical and Market Access functions
- Work closely with HEOR for pharmacoeconomic models to accurately reflect the value of our products in the local environment as needed
- Build and leverage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative reimbursement solutions
- Anticipate business impact of current and future legislation, and provide input into policies and industry positions on relevant topics to contribute to a favorable business environment
- Ensure patient views are incorporated in Novartis business decisions and solutions

Minimum requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
- Master's Degree in the field of Natural Science, Pharmaceutical Sciencies, Healthcare or Business / Economics or equivalent
- 13 years of relevant professional experience in Pharma/LifeSciences/Health Insurance industry
- First years of professional experience in Market Access, preferentially in the Swiss environment would be desirable
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
- Ability to develop trust based relationships with external and internal key stakeholders
- Good commercial understanding of the pharmaceutical market
- Solid understanding of national health care system, regulatory environment, and drug reimbursement process
- Sound understanding of health economic evaluation
