Forecasting & Capacity Planner


We are looking for a strategic and highly analytical Forecasting & Capacity Planner to join our Capacity & Revenue Management function.

As the first hire into this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the long-term strategy for capacity planning, forecasting, and inventory management across EF Educational Tours.

You will be a key member of the team working closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand opportunities, limitations and to create action plans based on latest capacity trends and forecasts.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain continuous forecasting perspective on a global scale to predict demand trends and flag challenges that will impact our final inventory consumption
  • Build a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders to understand their growth capabilities, cost impact of different capacity levels, and recommend actions based on capacity opportunities or limitations
  • Drive and own the process of capacity constraint capture and cost/quality implications, on a global level
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and conduct analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide insights for decisionmaking
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve demand planning processes, and streamline inventory management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in forecasting, capacity planning or analytics, preferably within the travel industry
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a proven track record
  • Ability to derive insights and detect trends & patterns from complex data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
  • Selfstarter mindset with the ability to create solutions from scratch
