CUTISS AG, a biotech company spin-off of the University of Zurich (UZH), focuses on the development of personalized bioengineered skin graft products for the treatment of skin defects.

Its lead product denovoSkin has successfully completed a Phase I clinical trial for the treatment of burns and reconstructive surgeries.

Clinical Phase II studies are underway in Europe and Switzerland.

CUTISS AG aims at designing an intelligent, automated platform to accelerate the manufacturing of its bioengineered skin product. Therefore, we are seeking a highly dedicated

GMP Cleanroom Technician (f/m/d %
who can support the development of next-generation skin grafts and start March 1, 2024 or sooner.

Your main duties

  • Enabling and maintaining the operational status of following activities in CUTISS' manufacturing facility
  • Stock management:
  • Material Management of consumables, media, reagents, and preparation (PREPs) in the cleanroom and in storage. Preparation of medias and aliquots in the cleanroom and R&D Labs
  • Supporting the ordering procedure of raw materials and consumables
  • Support the ordering procedure of cleaning material
  • Entering C-Class to the cleanroom facility and regularly stockup material and gowning storage inside the C-Class to ensure the operational readiness
  • Entering B-Class to the cleanroom facility to maintain allowed stocks of material inside B-Class
  • Regular inventory of all material in stock
  • Support in the manufacturing of denovoSkin (basic cell culture tasks)
  • Processing incoming material according to the QMS
  • Support responsible for the lifecycle management of laboratory goods and materials including liquid nitrogen tanks, CO2 bottles, reusable gowning, cleaning material, recycling and waste management
  • Equipment management
  • Regular check of qualification and release status of production equipment
  • Maintenance and cleaning of production equipment
  • Responsible for communication of equipment related tasks to QC and external companies (Equipment failure, equipment maintenance, equipment installation, equipment qualification)
  • Support of responsible department head of equipment's qualification

Your background
An apprenticeship as a Lab Technician and 2 years of experience in academia or industry or a B.Sc. degree in a biological field (e.g. cell/molecular biology, tissue engineering, biotechnology or biomedicine). Knowledge of GMP regulations is a plus.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must have a work permit in Switzerland or hold a CH/EU passport
  • Basic knowledge in Mammalian Cell Culture
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations is highly desired
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and record keeping
  • Great sense of quality and responsibility
  • High level of accuracy and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and efficient.
  • Selfreliant in determining priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamoriented attitude
  • Proficient in English and German, any other languages are a considered a plus

This position requires occasional weekend on-call duties and as it also includes working with human cells, we ask our employees to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B or be willing to do so (vaccination cost will be absorbed by CUTISS) in order to protect them from potential infections.
