To support our Downstream Process Development team, we are currently looking for an:

Associate Downstream Processing (100%)
As a member of the Downstream Process (DSP) Development team your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, completing and documenting DSP operations
  • Independently analyzing generated material (e.g., purity, yield, etc.) using inhouse methods fit for purpose
  • Developing and performing robust and scalable purification processes using highend machinery such as stateoftheart FPLC systems, micro, depth
- and tangential flow filtration systems under the guidance of an experienced supervisor

  • Establishing In-ProcessControls (IPC) to control and monitor the purification process
  • Establishing and executing experimental strategies according to preestablished plans, timelines, and priorities
  • Exploring chromatography methods and media, filtration modules and critical process parameters to identify optimal conditions for the manufacturing of novel products, ensuring safety and robustness for later GMP production as well as material supply for preclinical research testing
  • Supporting evaluation, interpretation, and reporting of experimental data in scientific meetings and technical reports
  • Maintaining and cleaning the laboratory and equipment to ensure safety and operational standards are met
You are an efficient and enthusiastic team player with:

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and curious personality
  • you can get things done
  • Technician, BSc., or MSc. degree in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, food technology or a related discipline
  • Proven handson experience in protein purification (FPLC, TFF handling etc.)
  • Technical flair for complex instruments such as FPLCs
  • Knowledge and handson experience in biochemistry, common laboratory methods (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, UV measurements etc.), Design of Experiment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
