We are currently seeking an experienced professional for the role of
Oracle DB Consultant % - Bern
As the key point of contact for the client's customers, and with your responsible and independent approach to task management, you will efficiently execute the assigned projects.

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Installation, maintenance, management, and patching of Oracle Appliance on bare-metal servers using virtualization technology
  • Migration of databases in on-premises and cloud-based environments
  • Patching and updating databases
  • Utilizing Ansible for large-scale patching
  • Implementation and configuration of HA databases (Data Guard for EE version, dbvisit for SE version, RAC, etc.)
  • Proposing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements (snapshots, container database, etc.)
  • Implementing, configuring, and overseeing database backups
  • Restoring databases after incidents
  • Replicating and transferring data using various technologies (RMAN duplication, Export/Import Data Pump, etc.)
  • Data replication, filtering, and transformation with Oracle GoldenGate
  • Resolving database performance issues (analyzing database performance)
  • Managing Oracle database and handling troubleshooting (user assistance)
  • Auditing licensing
  • Developing shell scripts, SQL, and PL/SQL scripts
  • Creating technical documentation for projects and solutions

YOUR PROFILE

  • Higher education degree in IT sciences
  • Relevant experience with Oracle database servers
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle RMAN backup and restore
  • Familiarity with Oracle tuning
  • Experience with high availability using DataGuard or Real Application Cluster
  • Team player with proficiency in German and good English skills
  • Familiarity with Apex and PL/SQL
