Job Description Summary:

This is a position on the Business Line Finance team for the Gas Power Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) Global Services business.

The Global Services Income Statement Leader is responsible for providing financial planning & analysis support to the Gas Power Global Services Leadership team (including the Global Services CEO and CFO).

The Global Services Income Statement Leader will also provide support to the Global Services FP&A Leader in a CFO Analyst capacity.


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Major planning cycles, blueprints, budget, long range forecast, strategy
  • Performance management & external reporting, including Investor Relations
  • In quarter pacing/forecasting
  • Driving analytics and operational improvements in operating performanceacross the business, including maximizing P&L performance, understanding margin erosion drivers and portfolio execution critical path

Roles and Responsibilities
As the Gas Power Global Services Income Statement Leader, you will:

  • Support Services by leading the financial planning and reporting cycles, as well as monthly operating reviews (MORs) as it relates to income statement
  • Be responsible for regular pacing for income statement across all Services business lines (CSA, MMP, and Transactional). This includes understanding trends and operational drivers across the different profit pools in terms of profitability/timing.
  • Lead FP&A simplification and global standardization initiatives for income statement (specifically looking for synergies in operating rhythms across Global Services)
  • Form a close relationship with pole & subregion ITRs, transactional & fulfillment finance teams, as well as crossfunctional operating partners to drive operational engagement & develop playbook for meeting operating targets for P&L performance
  • Support leadership team in the preparation of budgets, operating plans, and manpower planning
  • Provide management & financial reporting on all aspects of business on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for strategic, operational & financial KPI related to P&L
  • Prepare and support presentations (Op Plan, Budget, Long Range Forecasts, and Operating Reviews)
  • Maintain processes for analyzing and reporting operating results to management (e.g., connecting yearoveryear profitability to margin erosion)
  • Share best practices and drive global process standardization with broader pole & region teams where applicable
  • Ensure key processes and controls are in place to support a world class financial operation
  • Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risk and opportunities and ensure operational coordination to optimize P&L results
  • Lead the pursuit of excellence in controllership (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.)
  • Manage and develop a team of 3+ analysts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge from an accredited university or college
  • Significant experience in finance, accounting, audit experience, or similar

Desired Characteristics

  • Preference will be given to current Gas Power Finance employees
  • Experience in a finance leadership role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good time management and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated success working with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated success managing a small team of analysts.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Selfmotivated, resultsoriented, and assertive individual
  • Advanced experience of Microsoft suite.
  • Preferred graduate of finance management leadership programs (e.g., FMP, OFLP/CAS, etc.)
  • Strong Knowledge of Gas Power and HDGT Services business
