Join our Business Development team in Zurich as a Sales Manager of Parametric Climate and Natural Catastrophe (NatCat) Solutions.

In this role, you will drive our effort to deliver innovative parametric (re)insurance products that address climate and natural disaster risk.

CelsiusPro Group, dedicated to helping both private and public organisations to understand and mitigate the financial impact of climate and NatCat risks.

CelsiusPro, an award-winning Insurtech, we develop cutting-edge technology for managing parametric insurance. We collaborate with clients in designing and structuring tailored parametric solutions combining risk management, data science, and risk modelling. The Sales and Business Development team


The team
provides risk management solutions and web-based platforms for corporations, insurers, brokers, governmental agencies, industry bodies, cooperatives, and agribusiness companies to offer smart and cost-effective parametric products to clients.


The position is full-time and will be based in Zurich (CH), with travel for business development, client management, and conferences globally.


Your responsibilities:

CelsiusPro Technology and Consulting

  • Drive the sales of CelsiusPro parametric technology services (such as White Label Platform) for target sectors.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with assigned key CelsiusPro consulting accounts for risk modelling and product structuring requests.
  • Serve as the primary point of business contact for CelsiusPro clients, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and goals, as well as communicating the market needs to our internal Products and Technology teams.
  • Drive global business expansion by gaining access and opening doors, with a particular focus on (re)insurance companies and brokers.
  • Identify and lead negotiations for upselling opportunities, ensuring that terms, pricing, and contractual agreements align with company objectives and policies.
  • Make a strong contribution to reaching Business Development goals and targets through effective prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Lead in optimising workflows, assisting with the enhancement of internal processes and communication within the Business Development team and towards the Underwriting and R&D teams.

Re(insurance) transactions

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other distribution channels, with focus on the London (re)insurance market to enhance deal origination opportunities.
  • Support in originating, analysing, and assessing parametric climate and NatCat insurance and reinsurance submissions from clients and brokers received by Global Parametrics.
  • Manage submissions from clients and brokers and coordinate with internal teams, including Underwriting and R&D, to ensure timely and efficient processing.
  • Client and relationship management, proactively keeping all stakeholders updated on climate and NatCat conditions potentially affecting the (re)insurance transaction.

You have:

  • Demonstrable track record in the (re)insurance industry and an extensive network of contacts in the broker community.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the (re)insurance, broker or NatCat modelling industry, focussing on business development and climate and NatCat deal origination.
  • Passionate and experienced in climate and NatCat related risks and the (re)insurance market in general.
  • Proven tenacity and perseverance in navigating external and internal stakeholders to overcome challenges in sales lifecycle of parametric (re)insurance transactions.
  • Proven ability to successfully bring transactions 'over the finish line'.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly for inperson or virtual meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and work with Product and R&D teams to determine solutions for our clients.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English. German and Spanish are assets.
