This role is within the Switzerland marketing team (PBRS Marketing), responsible for the Swiss Booking Center of HSBC Global Private Banking, serving clients in 15 markets in Europe and MENA. The team focuses on creating compelling content and events to engage with Relationship Managers and strengthen the HSBC brand. As part of this dynamic team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business growth and aligning marketing objectives globally and locally.

The Marketing Events and Campaigns Manager works closely with the Head of PBRS Marketing to oversee marketing activities in Europe, including events and campaigns across all channels. This role demands a deep understanding of the private banking industry and effective engagement with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders. A willingness to travel is essential for this role. All marketing activities must comply with our framework and align with Branding, Communications, and Global Marketing strategy. This position is based in Zurich or Geneva.

What you will do:

  • Work with the Head of Europe International to develop and implement the Marketing Plan focusing on key European countries.
  • Manage stakeholders across multiple business lines and geographies in a matrix setting.
  • Organize client events to support the business and monitor KPIs.
  • Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with HSBC processes, local regulations, and marketing procedures.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain support and ensure successful delivery of strategies across the business.
  • Promote HSBC Group best practices and standardize approaches.
  • Engage with marketing teams in EMEA to share best practices and strategies.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Follow marketing financial processes and manage allocated budget.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate marketing campaign plans according to processes and governance.
  • Proactively identify risks and provide mitigation recommendations for evolving business landscapes.

Impact on the Business

  • Lead planning and execution of marketing events and campaigns in Europe.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and regulations while aligning with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and budget allocation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of broad marketing experience, particularly in the financial industry with event management exposure across Switzerland and Europe.
  • Diverse project management background encompassing campaigns, sponsorships, and branding.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix environment with numerous stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of private banking industry, regulations, and cross-border rules.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in multi-functional project management and strong organizational abilities.
