Client:

Long-established, boutique private bank offering bespoke wealth management services to its private clients, as well as some institutional business. Central Geneva offices and a well-established office, since many years. Close, collaborative team spirit and a collegial work atmosphere for dynamic high flyers. Finders have been specifically asked to help in the process of this critical hire.

Position:

With the help of one assistant, your role as "Comptable Bancaire" is broad and varied, to include but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Preparing interim and annual accounts, drawing up financial statements in accordance with guidelines, participating in audit procedures
  • SNB statistics
  • Securities accounting (nostro)
  • Drawing up and monitoring: MIS reports and management of the system
  • Preparation of reports for shareholders/group
  • VAT/IA/DT
  • Reconciling and monitoring balance sheet and operating accounts, monitoring cost accounting
  • Preparation of reports and schedules for management and senior staff

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/economics and/or Brevet Federal in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting in a banking environment
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards + the FiRE tool
  • Excellent command of Excel and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Apsys (New Access) a plus
  • Autonomy, rigour and organisational skills
  • Flexible, precise and conscientious
  • Fluent/mothertongue French, as well as fluent English (minimum B2 level)
  • Already living and working in the Geneva area; frontalier OK
