Global Environmental Sustainability Manager (Supply Chain) - Your future position?


You will manage the definition and implementation master plan of the Environmental Sustainability strategy and program in the Supply Chain area globally, guide and track the implementation success.

Work is to be done in collaboration with many partners including Procurement, Operations and Sustainability, under the guidance from the Head of Environmental Sustainability and with the Sustainability team.

You will be based in either Vernier or Kemptthal (Switzerland ), Naarden (Netherlands), Sant Celoni (Spain), Argenteuil (France). You will be reporting to the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability.

You will:

  • Manage the definition of the Environmental sustainability program and master plan to eliminate GHG emissions (Scope 3), Water and Waste management for Supply Chain, in cooperation with the relevant partners
  • Manage the Sustainable Procurement
  • Scope 3 team and the Sustainable Operations-Supply Chain team drumbeats to track progress of master plan, manage risks, and report on progress to management
  • Be a main conductor on environmental topics across all relevant areas in the company
  • Research and propose opportunities for improvement in managing GHG emissions scope 3, water and waste, based on collection and analysis of factual data, external benchmarking, and best practices research
  • Lead the supplier engagement programme on Climate and Water (CDP Supply Chain programme), represent Givaudan
  • Lead the environmental data in the Supply Chain area, and work with the relevant partners to ensure data integrity, consistency and coordinated reporting
  • Oversee the reporting against progress the area of environmental sustainability in Supply Chain
  • Be main contact at corporate level to solve questions and provide evidence in the area of environmental sustainability in Supply Chain
  • Be main contact at corporate level for CDP climate and water in the area of environmental sustainability in Supply Chain.
  • Ensure the appropriate communications and updates are available for management and employees
  • Prepare, contribute to and validate environmental sustainability communications
  • Participate in internal and external events representing Givaudan

You?

  • Master's degree
  • At least 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in Sustainability or Procurement
  • Knowledge of corporate environmental sustainability (Science-Based targets, CDP Climate Change and Water Security, GHG Protocol, CEO Water Mandate)
  • Knowledge of the FMCG sector; in chemicals or food processing
  • Fluent in English
  • Research skills
  • Ability to interact at multiple levels
  • Autonomous and comfortable with matrix setup
  • Excellent project management skills
