Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you are at the forefront of enhancing and maintaining our cutting-edge cloud-based AI software platform. You'll collaborate closely with fellow developers and DevOps engineers to efficiently deliver creative solutions to top companies, startups, and leading universities worldwide.

• Design, develop, and manage our industry-leading AI platform for self-driving labs, covering software architecture, APIs, SDKs, and databases.
• Construct efficient, scalable, and reusable Python-based code; akin to a versatile Swiss Army knife.
• Contribute to defining and implementing top-tier industry practices within the team to ensure product excellence and seamless integration (e.g., test automation, CI/CD, code review).
• Play a role in steering the direction of our platform's technological advancement.
• Guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their development, training, and progression.
• Engage with a skilled team of developers and engineers to deliver groundbreaking solutions and push the boundaries of scientific exploration.

Requirements

Must:

• Minimum 7 years of proven industry experience as a Software Engineer, specializing in Python and developing large-scale applications.
• Experience in distributed and service-oriented architectures, with familiarity in queuing services (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).
• Proficiency in container technologies (e.g., Docker) and cloud-based platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy).
• Experience with CI/CD, version control tools, and best practices (e.g., Github).
• Proficient in English to function within an international, English-speaking setting.
• On-site work required (Lausanne, Switzerland), at least three days per week (maximum of two days remote).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with a keen interest in learning and problem-solving.
