Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic media relations and thought leadership planning and execution for the Grid Software (GSW) business unit at Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
  • Create approved mediafacing content (including press releases, onepagers, factsheets, Q&As).
  • Develop and maintain a single source of press information for Siemens global communications, to ensure consistent and uptodate messaging.
  • Develop relationships with key journalists, publications and industry associations to position Siemens GSW topics and key executives in industry media and outlets.
  • Liaise with global/regional Siemens communications and media relations teams to ensure consistent messaging for GSW topics across companywide communications.
  • Plan, execute and brief for GSW media events including, where appropriate, press trips and media roundtables.
  • Create, manage and brief for thought leadership opportunities (including webinars, podcasts, conference speaking opportunities and digital events).
  • Liaise with Siemens' corporate media relations team to position, where appropriate, key stories, executives and topics in global news and business media.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You have a master degree in communications, political science, economics or similar fields, or have equivalent industry experience/knowledge, e.g. in journalism or a PR agency
  • You have comprehensive understanding of what media relations and thought leadership entail and how to drive them on a business level
  • You are an excellent writer with proficiency in English and German and can simplify complex topics into easytounderstand stories
  • You have a growth mindset, with a focus on continuous learning and development
  • You are interested and have experience in understanding business goals, models, products, services
  • You have experience in creating and driving thought leadership projects and strategies at international companies or PR agencies.
  • You are a team player, working collaboratively within the team and across the Communications function
  • You are comfortable and enjoy working with diverse global teams
  • You think strategically, are solutionoriented, have a cando attitude and possess exceptional communication skills
  • You are resilient, driven to challenge the status quo, patient and agile in the face of resistance, and able to influence with compelling and convincing perspectives
  • English and German business fluency are required. Additional languages are a plus
