Histology Technician

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling routine decalcification, processing, embedding, microtomy, and re-embedding of human tissue specimens from clinical trial patients
• Performing automated and manual staining procedures (ImmunoHistoChemistry, FISH, etc...)
• Ensuring proper storage conditions and traceability of Histology blocks and slides (both stained and unstained)
• Conducting slide scanning based on requirements and established protocols
• Preparing workstations, maintaining instruments and equipment routinely, and monitoring supplies and materials
• Adhering to safety regulations and occupational health standards

Qualifications we seek:

Successful Histology Technicians at Labcorp possess:

• Minimum 6 months of histology lab experience
• Experience in FISH interpretation is advantageous
• Medical Technologist degree (CFC holder, BTS, DUT, IUT Degree holder) or Pharmaceutical Biology Technologist (CFC holder)
• Proficiency in French
• Ability to maintain precise records and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
