Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist in power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits, and replacements.

As the Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for operational Quality aspects and apply methods to handle and improve our Quality culture. Your Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, such as the Cost of Poor Quality (CopQ)  

  • Facilitate group discussions to identify and address quality issues

  • Establish processes to capture and share learnings from past experience

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the local QMS, which outlines the organization's approach to maintaining quality standards 

  • Develop and document new processes within the organization 

  • Utilize specific software like ADONIS and xECM for process mapping and documentation 

  • Training internal Stakeholders on Quality topics​  

  • Organize internal audits and follow up activities​  

Your Background

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred, relevant working experience in a quality-focused role can be considered an alternative 

  • Prior experience in handling customer quality issues is desirable 

  • Deep commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement 

  • Solution-oriented approach and the ability to think creatively to address quality issues  

  • Good proficiency in English and German (B1 or higher)
