The HR Generalist plays a vital role in the various stages of the employee life cycle. They are focused on ensuring we recruit individuals with the right skills and experience, and also work towards retaining talented employees. As part of this, they collaborate closely with the Head of HR to foster a high-performance and employee-oriented culture.

In addition to this, the HR Generalist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on HR key performance indicators (KPIs). They actively engage with other leads and managers to maximize collaboration and coordination.

Furthermore, the HR Generalist takes charge of payroll management, special leave management, HR database management, and other general HR administrative tasks for GARDP staff members. They are also involved in providing overall administrative support, managing consultancy contracts, and enhancing data processes and dashboard implementation.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Ensure adherence to internal recruitment guidelines
    • Provide exceptional recruitment coordination services to internal stakeholders
    • Create captivating advertisements and proactively source top talent
    • Screen and recommend outstanding candidates for interviews using an advanced applicant tracking system
    • Proficiently train employees on the recruitment tracking system
    • Conduct interviews, tests, and comprehensive pre-screen interviews
    • Thoroughly conduct reference checks, prepare compelling offers, and seamlessly facilitate the transition from candidate to valuable employee
    • Maintain up-to-date and engaging job description templates
  • Employee Life Cycle:
    • Act as the dedicated HR focal point for HR onboarding tools
    • Ensure a smooth and timely transition from candidate to valuable employee
    • Efficiently coordinate the onboarding process for new employees
    • Manage HR induction and administer employee onboarding with precision
    • Meticulously handle employment agreements and all necessary supporting documents
  • Payroll / Compensation & Benefits:
    • Lead regional payroll and expertly manage compensation packages
    • Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing and prepare meticulous salary reconciliations at year end
    • Collaborate effectively with finance to ensure timely updates for salary changes
    • Provide seamless support for audits
    • Play a pivotal role in setting up HR benefits for new legal entities
    • Proficiently handle sickness, accidents, and insurance claims
  • HR Data Analyst:
    • Effortlessly support the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive HR guidelines
    • Develop and maintain an insightful HR KPI Dashboard
    • Proactively manage HR dashboards and insightful data
    • Provide valuable support for the development of cutting-edge HR systems and global reporting requirements
    • Maintain meticulous HR compliance
  • Other Organizational Admin Support:
    • Efficiently manage individual consultancy contracts
    • Promote and enhance internal communication systems
    • Create comprehensive reports, templates, dashboards, and meaningful metrics
Experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years at the Officer level
  • 2 or more years of hands-on HR functional experience
  • Ability to excel in an international team environment
  • Prior experience in both not-for-profit and private sectors is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience in all HR processes and strong proficiency in HR systems and tools
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Economics, or Business Administration
  • HR Certificate in Human Resources is a plus
Other Requirements
  • Fluency in both French and English is required
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools and applications
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data
