Senior Director Trade Co Finance

Purpose
The purpose of this role is to be the owner of the TradeCo financials, covering all of the accounting concepts being practiced, P&L and B/S accounts, intercompany charges and relationship to market legal entities.
Key Accountabilities
- Ownership & understanding of complete trade co financial set up. This includes being fully versed on the different trading models and deployment rational. Full understanding on P&L components covering net sales through to operating profit and financial results. Appreciation of the linkage between TradeCo and aSL.
- Forecasting and actual reporting responsibility for all cost of sales variances, incorporating freight, customs, FOB, mark-up and buying commission. Responsible for all TradeCo inventory forecasting and reporting covering standard and seasonal inventory revaluations.
- Linkage of management P&L with TradeCo P&L and the subsequent foresight to predict the impact of commercial changes on to the TradeCo result (development of monthly forecast process). For example, the impact of the change in market nets sales on the local legal entity position which may require a change in steering through mark-up adjustments but linking the impact to closing stock adjustments and subsequent provision changes (both standard and obsolete).
- Joint responsibility, together with Treasury team, of exchange rate variances impacting the TradeCo P&L. Complete understanding of the connection between tradeco segments and the impact these have on the corporate exchange loss/gain.
- Owner of any change requests, regardless of origin (tax, treasury, accounting, or markets), responsibility to review, evaluate, recommend, communicate and then implement changes. Leading to the continual review of the optimal set up of the TradeCo financial structure, in light of business trajectory.
- Full audit responsibility, from computation of audit reports and declaration to liaison with audit teams, both internal and external as well as the connecting legal entities (markets and trading AG).
- Key owner of system interactions and change program lead (T4M).
- Set up an effective and sustainable team structure within given framework, ensure that the team are aware not only of the linkages between them but also the wider team impacting TradeCo postings (Treasury, GBS, retained accounting, etc).

Qualifications
- University degree in Finance / Business Administration / Accounting
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team
