The position

In this role, you'll craft and execute powerful brand and therapy area communication strategies, all aimed at supporting the objectives of our Rare Disease Unit. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, your focus will be on driving impactful internal and external communication plans across our portfolio, with a special emphasis on haemophilia. From product and therapy area communications to spearheading disease awareness initiatives, your work will play a crucial role in our mission. Let's make a difference together

Furthermore, you will:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive communication strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organiszational goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expert resource for stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Drive crisis and issues management communication in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute demand generation efforts for existing and upcoming products, aiming to educate and influence key audiences.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of communication plans specifically tailored to support the objectives of the Rare Disease Unit, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee various communication channels, including media relations, employee communications, social media, and websites, while ensuring coordination with global communication teams for optimal message delivery and impact.

 

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Rare Disease Communication.

 

Qualifications

 

You're eager to pursue this exciting opportunity because as an experienced communications professional with a background in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, you're prepared to embrace a fresh challenge

 

Furthermore, you:

 

  • Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a   related field.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years' experience in communication, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector, previous experience with product launches is an advantage
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Showcase expertise in strategic and brand communication.
  • Excel in developing and executing communication strategies and plans.
  • Have experience with media relations, social media, and digital channels including website management.
  • Possess strong business acumen, a proactive mindset, and a future-oriented approach.
  • Be resourceful, innovative, and creative in problem-solving.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills.
  • Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

 

 

About the Department

 

You will join the Rare Disease Communication, Public Affairs & Sustainability department and become part of the communication team headed by the Director of Rare Disease Communication. Novo Nordisk Rare Disease is a speciality care unit focused on generating scientific and technological breakthroughs for people with rare diseases. Our legacy and expertise in rare blood and endocrine disorders make us ideally placed to drive innovations to lessen the burden and achieve life-changing benefits for people living with rare diseases – a population where the unmet need remains high.
