Be Part of the engineering team in uninterruptable power supply systems/UPS in Smart Power/ABB Schweiz AG in Baden (AG), Switzerland the Associate Designer assists in designing engineering solutions, including preparing drawings, calculations, bills of materials, engineering instructions, processes and customer documentation. In this role, you will create or modify pre-engineered designs for equipment, systems or installations by applying standard design concepts.

Your responsibilities
  • Contributing to design reviews and verification, and implementing modifications as required
  • Following work plans and cost estimates for the technical design, drawings and documentation and ensuring the provision of quality deliverables on time and on budget
  • Assisting with risk and opportunity assessments and reporting any issues for resolution
  • Working with the project execution team during the preparation of RFQs and proposals
  • Providing assistance and leadership to the entry-level drafting and document control team
  • Assisting in the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments for project meetings
  • Further development of our database and our scheme-tool E3-Zuken
