We are looking for a Quality Operations QA Specialist to join us in our Quality Operations team, based in our biotechnological manufacturing site in Bulle, Switzerland.

 

About the role

As a Quality Operations QA Specialist, you will be responsible for compliance activities and quality strategies with regards to the operations related to products delivery, and responsible to proactively support operations (on the floor) in the biotech production area.

 

Who youâll work with

Reporting directly to the Quality Operation Manager for immunology, youâll join a highly skilled team of 6 specialists and 3 coordinators.

 

What youâll do

  • Maintain, develop, and collaborate to the Quality Operations department in alignment with the company vision, missions and Patient Values Strategy.
  • Responsible for compliance activities and quality strategies with regards to the operations related to products delivery (Production, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Quality Operations, Business Acceleration, HSE&Q) in compliance with national and/or international regulations, guidelines (GMP) and relevant UCB Quality Policies.
  • Responsible to proactively support operations (on the floor) in order to identify, develop, and implement quality and operational excellence improvements in response to business requirements and/or technical changes and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and develop a quality culture in close collaboration to ensure an efficient interface with local departments as well with other UCB sites departments.
  • Participate actively for inspection/audits.

 

Interested? For this role weâre looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Qualified to masterâs degree level in life science (Biology or Chemistry), or Pharmacist.
  • Proven QA work experience in quality control environment in biotech production.
  • Ability to work closely with operational teams in manufacturing area.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the GxP environment and technical competence in core areas of product manufacturing.
  • Ability to coordinate multifaceted projects and to meet critical deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to write up scientific/technical documents.
  • Excellent negotiation and convincing skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities with varying, culturally diverse groups and/or individuals and/or functions.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Independent worker under tight and shifting priorities.
  • Well-developed sense of discretion.
  • Languages: Fluent in French & English (written and spoken).
