About the team you are joining

The Airline, Airport and Security OCS department provides the aviation industry with transformative Operational and Compliance solutions helping to drive overall profitability and sustainability.

Within the AAS Department, the Survey Solutions team is responsible for developing and delivering survey solutions to airlines and other industry organisations, supporting IATA’s commercial and advocacy objectives. Its primary focus is on developing, conducting, and enhancing IATA's survey programs which have a major impact on helping airlines to optimize passenger satisfaction, safety and other areas benefiting from survey and benchmark intelligence.

Reporting to Director Airline, Airport and Security OCS, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing IATA’s survey solution programs.
This role requires an individual with a passion for insights, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. The successful candidate will possess robust market research background as well as project management skills and will be comfortable with influencing internal and external stakeholders.

What your day would be like
  • Strategic product development and management of high impact survey products across the portfolio including passenger insights and safety culture survey solutions;
  • Drive the adoption of the new IATA PaxInsight industry solution in achieving the goal of being the leading worldwide aviation passenger’s insights program; 
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales campaigns in conjunction with the marketing and regional sales teams, ensuring financial and other targets are achieved;
  • Work closely with internal and external director level aviation industry stakeholders in defining and executing program strategy including product enhancements;
  • Provide onboarding support to airlines and other industry organisations;
  • Manage strategic vendors leveraging their solutions across IATA to help develop new and support existing survey initiatives;
  • Develop and manage the Survey team, acting as a subject matter expert in the area of quantitative (and qualitative) market research domain;
  • Establish and manage multifunctional teams to deliver business results and projects successfully;
  • Establish and lead IATA industry working groups, by facilitating discussions, providing guidance and managing expectations;
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent degree with a focus on Market Research, Customer Insights specialization;
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a market research quantitative role (Consumer Insights, Market Research, or related field);
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing major projects;
  • Experienced in defining market research project methodologies including design of questionnaire, sample, data cleansing and weighting, reporting;
  • Strong analytical mindset, with exceptional business judgment and quantitative analytical abilities;
  • Experience with online survey platforms, ability to program, conduct and analyze survey results;
  • Experienced with statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPSS);
  • Experienced with BI / data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau);
  • Strong leader, comfortable in managing multifunctional teams and external suppliers;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders;
  • Comfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholders;
  • Aviation industry background is desired but not required;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages would be an asset;

Travel Required: 10%
