Urban Games is an independent and highly-successful video game development company focused on simulation and management games. Urban Games’ third video game title, Transport Fever 2, was released with great success in late 2019 and enables the company to continue growing. Urban Games offers the current twenty employees the opportunity to work on unique video games in a creative work environment and career opportunities with competitive salaries. The company is based in Schaffhausen directly at the train station and can therefore be reached in just 39 minutes from Zurich.
Senior Publishing Manager
The senior publishing manager has overall responsibility for the publishing of our games and manages production, marketing, distribution, and sales.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the production process from first playable game versions until releaseManage production plans for testing, quality assurance, certification and age ratingDevelop and execute marketing strategies including advertising, press tours, and eventsWork closely with PR studios to ensure that our games are marketed effectivelySecure distribution deals with sales platforms such as Steam, PlayStation and XboxMake sure our quality games exploit their full sales potential by expanding all sales channelsEstablish a close collaboration with the community manager, the head of product, and the CEORequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field5+ years of professional experience working in the video game industryProfessional experience with publishing and worked on shipped productsAdvanced knowledge of sales platforms, storefronts, distribution and marketingStrong project management, negotiation, sales and deal-maker skillsGreat organization, moderation and social skills paired with strong assertivenessSolid understanding of our games and customers to enable effective marketing campaignsGerman and English communication and writing skills (B2 level or higher)Preferences:
