Your responsibilities

Art Basel is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as
an Accountant & Business Controller Support, based in our Basel office. In this role,
you will be responsible for supporting the Global Art Basel business unit to ensure
accurate and timely financial records, across all 4 locations and legal entities
(Switzerland, Paris, USA and Hong Kong), and provide ad-hoc assistance to the
AB Business Controllers.

  • Assist the business to process supplier invoices, staff expenses and staff
    timesheets accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update accounting
    databases accordingly
  • Monitor and report compliance issues with company policies and
    procedures
  • Support the Business Controllers in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives,
    providing necessary data and analysis
  • Collaborate with MCH Finance and AB teams to document and propose
    options to streamline internal accounting processes and improve efficiency
  • Management of Intercompany transactions, including issuing ICO invoices
  • Management of fixed asset accounting
  • Support the monthly management of provisions and accruals
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or financial analysis role, with project
    accounting or events industry experience would be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with IFS and Cognos TM1 an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (written and oral) required.
    Additional knowledge of French is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
