  • Build stakeholder trust and advocacy by creating and executing strategic and innovative communication plans that position the organization as a leader and trusted partner.
Leverage industry experience and internal/external networks to develop strategic communication plans that drive measurable business and reputation outcomes.Maintain a deep understanding of current issues affecting the organization's reputation, platforms, and brands.Support media interviews, external speaking engagements, and internal communications/engagements for regional leaders.Collaborate with communication teams and various internal/external stakeholders to curate news stories and supporting data regarding vision, strategy, pipeline, products, and successes for external and internal audiences.Partner closely with business partners and other functions including Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, and HR to leverage insights and reach relevant stakeholders.Coordinate with the global team to ensure regional plans utilize approaches developed for other markets and promote best practice sharing.Develop messaging and content for senior leaders and create message toolkits for broad use and adaptation across the region.Utilize digital tools to strategically plan all communication activities, creating visibility across regions and anticipating leadership communication needs and opportunities.Deliver executive thought leadership and communications support to regional leaders.Prepare leadership for internal and external engagements, enhancing key messages and leadership platform objectives.Ensure executive leadership platforms complement each other and drive connectivity between leadership platforms.Align leadership and communicators on corporate positions, ensuring effective message development on key topics.Identify opportunities for leadership to represent the organization as an industry leader on critical issues.Leverage strategic communication platforms to reach stakeholder groups effectively.Drive all-employee and leader communications to motivate, energize, and engage around key business priorities and the organizational vision.Integrate communications across global, regional, and country levels as well as franchises to ensure the best employee experience.Develop narratives and messaging for key business priorities that resonate with leaders and employees.Create content for key leadership and employee communications at the regional level.Work with the team to prepare leadership for key internal and live communications engagements.

The Successful Applicant

University education and/or additional training: Preferably with a degree in communications or a related field.Over 8 years of proven experience in managing communications within a company, NGO, government agency, or public relations firm.Documented success in corporate communication, public affairs, public relations, media relations, and employee communication, with a focus on innovative reputation-building and brand management.Proven ability to establish relationships and exert strong influence with senior internal and external stakeholders.Native English speaker or exceptional proficiency in English, with excellent writing, editing, and strong design/visual skills.Extensive experience working with national and local general-interest media, professional/trade publications, and social media.In-depth understanding of digital and social media platforms.Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills.Experience in a matrixed environment, achieving results through influence.Extensive experience in managing budgets and allocating resources for large, critical projects.Capable of exercising a high level of independent judgment in challenging and complex situations.
